What comment did actor Vinayakan make?
In a video circulated on Facebook on Wednesday (July 19), the actor asked, “Who is this Oommen Chandy?” Why was a three-day mourning declared in the state on his death?” Vinayakan later removed the video from his Facebook account following social media outrage and widespread criticism from various quarters.
Condemning the indecent remarks against Chandy, the Congress on Thursday filed a police complaint against the actor and demanded action. However, the former Chief Minister’s son requested the authorities not to register a case against the actor over the remark.
Oommen Chandy, who was the Chief Minister of Kerala twice, was suffering from cancer and died on Tuesday (July 18) at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 79 years old.
