Anurag Thakur on Manipur Violence: Manipur has been burning in the fire of violence since May 3. On July 19, a video of two Manipur women being paraded naked and sexually assaulted went viral. Due to which there is ruckus in the monsoon session of Parliament. Meanwhile, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday (July 23) appealed to the opposition parties with folded hands to join the debate on the issue.
Anurag Thakur also urged the opposition not to politicize the issue of atrocities against women in the northeastern state. Opposition parties have planned a joint protest in Parliament on Monday (July 24) over the situation in Manipur.
