Parliament Monsoon Session 2023: Monday (July 24) is the third day of the monsoon session of Parliament. The proceedings of the House will start at 11 am. The uproar over Manipur is likely to continue in both the Houses as the opposition parties have chalked out a strategy to corner the BJP on this issue. BJP has also prepared a plan to counter the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance for the atrocities on women in other states including Rajasthan and West Bengal.

The opposition is continuously saying that until this issue is discussed and the Prime Minister does not come and answer in the House, no further work should be done in the House.

The government has agreed to hold a short-term discussion on the Manipur issue with Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s reply, but the opposition is adamant on demanding a detailed statement by PM Modi in Parliament on the Manipur issue. In such a situation, there is little possibility that this deadlock will end today.

At the same time, another incident of stripping, torturing and beating two tribal women came to light in West Bengal. BJP has also planned to corner the opposition. Apart from this, BJP will raise the issue of atrocities on women and Dalits in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Rajasthan. In such a situation, there is a possibility of a lot of uproar in the Parliament on Monday.
According to the information, the BJP will protest in front of the Gandhi statue of Parliament House today. All MPs have been directed to protest in front of the Gandhi statue regarding violence against women in Rajasthan, Bengal and Chhattisgarh. The performance will start at 9.30 am. Earlier on July 20, Bengal BJP MPs staged a sit-in protest against the atrocities on women in Bengal.
War-counter-attack between the opposition
The BJP on Friday (July 21) attacked the Trinamool Congress and the Congress-ruled West Bengal and Rajasthan governments over their record of crimes against women. At the same time, the opposition has been registering protests on the Manipur issue ever since the monsoon session began on Thursday (July 20).
