Jyotiraditya Scindia on Congress: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has hit back at the criticism made by the Congress. On being called a traitor, Scindia said that if it was so then why did the Congress include him and his father Madhavraj Scindia in the party. He said that those who have not read even a single page of history should speak whatever they want. Scindia said that his thoughts and ideology are dedicated to Madhya Pradesh and the nation.
He said, “Look, they will do their job, those who have not read even a single page of history, let them speak whatever they want. My family’s actions, thoughts and ideology are devoted to Gwalior, Gwalior division, Madhya Pradesh and the nation… If they were so concerned, then why did they include my father (Madhavrao Scindia), and then me, in the Congress.”
Posters were put up before Priyanka Gandhi’s rally
Recently, during Priyanka’s visit, posters were put up at the memorial that the Scindia betrayed Rani Laxmibai during the first war of independence in 1857, and the Congress in 1969 and 2020. However, the police had removed these posters.
Priyanka Gandhi said, the history of betrayal is being repeated
Before Priyanka spoke at the rally on July 21, Leader of the Opposition Govind Singh said in his address, “First this family (Scindia) betrayed Laxmibai and then betrayed the Congress in 1967 (when Jyotiraditya Scindia’s grandmother brought down the Congress in Madhya Pradesh) and now betrayed the Congress government in 2020 to save their property.”
He alleged, “Laxmibai breathed her last here. The people of Bhind supported her. She had come here on the request of the Maharaja of Gwalior. If Laxmibai had the support, independence would have come 100 years ago. History of betrayal is being repeated.”
