The first case is of Indravati Tiger Reserve located in Bijapur. Here a two-and-a-half-year-old cub was killed by hunters by trapping it in a trap.

Not only this, the hunters also took out the skin along with his nails and teeth. However, before the tiger skin could reach the buyer, the team of Indravati Tiger Reserve caught these smugglers. A total of seven accused were arrested in the preliminary action. Later, during the investigation of the case, a total of 43 accused were arrested in this case. These accused range from buyers to hunters and those who have been active in this area for a long time.

Four poachers caught in Kondagaon
According to the information received from the Forest Department officials, the accused were planning to sell tiger skin, nails and teeth at a cost of lakhs of rupees, but before that the team of Indravati Tiger Reserve caught them. On the other hand, the second case is from Kondagaon district, where the police have caught four poachers with tiger skin, nails and teeth worth Rs 20 lakh. During police interrogation, the accused told that about three months ago they had hunted a tiger in the forest of Sarhadi village of Kondagaon Narayanpur district.

The accused told that after this they removed its skin, nails and teeth and ate the tiger’s meat. Since then, he was roaming from place to place to sell the skin of the tiger. During interrogation, the accused told that the age of the tiger was about three years. He had reached the border forests of Kondagaon Narayanpur while roaming from the Indravati Tiger Reserve Forest area. After this he hunted the tiger. At the same time, the police officer told that action is being taken against these four under various sections. Let us tell you that there is a lot of resentment among the retired officers of Wildlife due to the hunting of two tigers in Bastar in the last three months.
