Bastar News: Controversy has once again increased in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district regarding conversion. More than 6 people belonging to a particular community were thrashed in Patharli Udwa village of Kodenar police station. In which a woman and a man have been admitted to the hospital after suffering serious injuries. This video of fighting is becoming fiercely viral in the social media. It is being told that the assaulter and the victim belong to the same family. On one side, some people of their family who have adopted Christian religion. Wanted to get them back home in their religion.
But after procrastination and refusal by the other side, some people and family members of the village thrashed more than 6 people who converted to Christianity. However, till now the aggrieved party has not given an application to the police in this case. On the other hand, after the video of the badly assaulted people following a particular religion went viral, the Kodenar police station, while identifying the assaulters, has registered a case under section 107/16 and said to take action.
Violent incidents on the rise in Bastar on conversion
In fact, the issue of conversion has been in the limelight in Bastar district for the last few months. In the tribal community, the dispute has increased between the people converting to religion and the tribals of the original religion. Now this dispute has taken the form of violence. Recently, in Lohandiguda block, the tribals of the original religion made the villagers who converted to Christianity return home. At the same time, some members of the same family have adopted Christian religion in Patharli Udwa village of Kodenar police station area. On Saturday (July 22) evening they were being asked to return to their original religion, but those who converted to Christianity refused to convert to Hinduism.

After which the mutual dispute in the family was so big that the villagers and their own family members thrashed those people who have adopted Christianity. About 6 to 7 people were badly beaten. In which women were also involved. During this, some youths of the village captured this video of the fight in their mobiles and after that this video has started going viral on social media. Among those who have been assaulted, a woman and a man have suffered serious injuries. Those who have been admitted to Dimrapal Hospital.

On the other hand, in this case, Aishwarya Chandrakar, sub-divisional police officer, says that after the video of the fight surfaced, a police team has been sent to the village. On the basis of the video, the people who have thrashed them are being identified. The sub-divisional officer of the police said that the people who have been beaten up have not yet complained to the police station, but after the video went viral on social media, the police is engaged in its investigation. By registering a case under Section 107/16 against those who have also beaten up, action has been taken and told to arrest them soon.
