UCC Pasmanda Muslims: Before the general elections to be held in the country for the Lok Sabha, the Modi government is preparing to bring the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). There are some misconceptions in the Muslim society regarding the Uniform Civil Code. There is also opposition to this. In response to the All India Personal Law Board, the BJP has put forward Pasmanda Mahaj. A meeting was held in Lucknow on Sunday (July 23) regarding this. After this, efforts will be made to remove the misconceptions that Pasmanda Muslims have about UCC in their society.
Pasmanda Mahaj clarified his point of view after the meeting held under the chairmanship of National Minorities Commission Iqbal Singh Lalpura. Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Ansari has said in very open words that the implementation of UCC should not be taken to mean that Muslims will not be allowed to offer Namaz and keep fast.
‘Muslims become vote bank’
He further said that some political people have used the Muslim community considering it as a vote bank. But now this will not happen. Muslims have started understanding their own good and bad. Never did any party talk about education and employment of Muslims for their right to equality. Muslims were used only and only for votes, but now it will not happen at all.
Iqbal Singh further said that Nationalist Muslim Pasmanda Mahaj national president Asif Rasheed made his point very clear. They believe that with the implementation of UCC, the daughters-in-law of the society will also get the right to equality. what’s wrong with that? Now the Muslim society will not come on the road for 4 marriages of 15 percent Muslims.
PM Modi had recently mentioned with great emphasis the Pasmanda Muslims in Madhya Pradesh. He told in an open forum that Pasmanda Muslims are backward economically, socially and educationally. They should also get a chance to come forward. In India, 15 percent are Muslims who are considered upper class. He is called Ashraf.
Whereas the word Pasmanda is originally derived from the Persian language. The share of Pasmanda Mahaj in the Muslim society in India is 85 percent. Among them Arjal, Ajlaf, Dalit and backward class Muslims are considered. Only time will decide how effective this step will be for UCC. The Supreme Court is also putting pressure on the Modi government to bring it.
