Weather Update Today: Disturbing rains are lashing many areas across the country. People are facing problems in traffic due to waterlogging and flood situation on the roads. Now the Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a new update regarding the weather.

IMD scientist RK Janamani told on Monday (July 24) that heavy to very heavy rains are continuing in Saurashtra-Kutch region, Madhya Maharashtra and Goa as well. Apart from this, people are worried due to very heavy rains in Coastal Karnataka.

Reduced rain in many areas

RK Janamani said that there has been a decrease in rainfall in many areas. The situation in Gujarat has improved a lot. In Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, less rain was seen on Sunday (July 23) as compared to the last two days.

At the same time, there is a warning of heavy rains in Konkan Goa and Coastal Karnataka including Mumbai. Heavy rain is also forecast in Telangana on 25 and 26 July. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the part of North West India from July 25.

Weather conditions in capital Delhi

Talking about the country’s capital Delhi, the situation here is better than before, but the danger of flood is still looming. Yamuna is still flowing above the danger mark in Delhi. The water level of Yamuna had gone above the danger mark at 206.44 meters late on Sunday night.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at a few places in the state during the next 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh. At present, hundreds of villages in many districts of UP are affected by floods.
