Local rights activist Kokila Annamalai said that if this happens, she will be the first woman to be hanged in Singapore since 2004. Earlier, a 36-year-old woman was hanged for drug trafficking. According to TJC, both the prisoners are from Singapore and their families have received notices about their execution.
Indian man was hanged in April
Significantly, earlier on April 26, a man of Indian origin was hanged in Singapore for drug trafficking. His family had filed a petition in the court for not hanging, which was rejected.
