Indian stock market closes flat, FMCG stocks fall, energy sector shares shine


Stock Market Closing On 25 July 2023: In today’s trade, there has been a lot of upheaval in the Indian stock market. Raunak has disappeared from the market for the last three trading sessions. Investors are selling. Due to which, at the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 29 points and closed at 66,355 points. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 19,680 points with a slight gain of 68 points.

Banking, FMCG and IT stocks have been instrumental in spoiling the mood of the market today. Selling has been seen in the shares of all the three sectors. While the shares of Auto, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Consumer Durables, Commodity, Infra, Energy, Metals Pharma sectors closed with a boom. The Midcap index of Nifty has gained momentum while the Smallcap index has closed with a decline. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 13 closed with gains and 17 closed with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 25 stocks closed up and 25 closed down.

bullish stocks

In today’s trade, JSW Steel 3.33 per cent, Tata Steel 3.25 per cent, NTPC 2.45 per cent, Ultratech Cement 2.12 per cent, Tata Motors 1.62 per cent, Titan Company 1.62 per cent, Power Grid 1.39 per cent, Mahindra & Mahindra closed with a gain of 1.24 per cent. While Asian Paints closed with a decline of 3.95 per cent, ITC 1.85 per cent, Larsen 1.51 per cent, SBI 1.27 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 1.12 per cent.

Rise in investor wealth

The stock market may have closed flat but in today’s trade there has been a jump in the wealth of the investors. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has reached Rs 302.68 lakh crore, which was Rs 301.95 lakh crore in the previous trading session. That is, there has been an increase of Rs 73,000 crore in the wealth of investors in today’s trade.
