The High Court will hear tomorrow the petition of the Muslim side in the Gyanvapi case, demanding a ban on the survey


Gyanvapi ASI Survey: The decision of the Varanasi district judge on the Gyanvapi issue was challenged in the Allahabad High Court. Now the High Court will hear the petition of the Muslim side tomorrow. The Gyanvapi case can be heard in a single bench of Justice Jayant Banerjee. The date of hearing and the decision of the bench will be decided tomorrow morning only. Let us tell you that in the petition, there has been a demand to stop the survey of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) which started from Monday and to cancel the decision of the District Judge.

The High Court will hear the petition of the Muslim side tomorrow.

The district judge had given permission for a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque. The Muslim side has challenged the order of the District Judge to conduct the ASI survey in the High Court. The Supreme Court, while hearing on Monday, had stayed the ASI survey till 5:00 pm on July 26. The break on the ASI survey was seen as a relief for the Muslim side. The mosque committee of Gyanvapi has filed a petition today on the instructions of the Supreme Court.

There is a demand to cancel the decision of the district judge

The Masjid Arrangement Committee, citing Article 227, has challenged the Varanasi District Judge’s survey to be conducted by the ASI. On the petition of the Muslim side, the notice has been received by the Hindu parties today. The Hindu side says that in the hearing to be held tomorrow, the side will be put forward strongly and will demand that the petition of the Muslim side be rejected. Significantly, in the petition of the Masjid Committee, questions have also been raised on the activism of the ASI. Many big lawyers are preparing to argue on behalf of the Hindu side. In the petition of the Masjid Committee, it has been argued that the District Judge has given the decision by going out of jurisdiction.
